-Siana-

The sudden influx of mechanical elements surrounding the near vicinity of the two women, had not been lost on either of them. When they began to symaltaneously form themselves into some arrangement that appeared somewhat recognizable, Siana felt her insides knot.

-A face....that...thing, it had a face.

"Ok, so we have established that this ain't nothing the Vong have done....so what is - "

Her sentence trailed off, when suddenly, it spoke.

"Why have you come to this place? Do you serve them? The conclave? You have come to destroy me. My primary heart chamer is crippled now because of you"

As if her blood could not have run any cooler than it was already - Siana thought. It all mounted up to one question...did they run, or stand their ground here? This was bigger than either of them could have ever suspected. A ship of this class and size left floating in space - still in next to immaculate condition in places - was suspicious, she'd gotten bad vibes back in the docking bay, but when they had encountered the strange semblence of human and technology, that had been that insane creature, they should have cut their losses and run.

It was staring at them, she realized, it expected an answer.

"Uh...." what did one say to that though? Say to something they weren't aware of, had no record of. Space sick, they had to be.

Yet it continued to look at them - expectantly.

"Conclave?" Perhaps a question hadn't been the best form of answer, she would have to rephrase.

"We aren't with any Conclave," she stressed, raising both hands in a pacifying gesture as those things that had been following them, began to circle around them. Yet they did not attack.

"Destroy you? Oh..no....we did not even know you were here...that is to say....who are you?"

It probably wasn't a good idea to inform them that they had had every intention of taking this ship, looting it for all it was worth, before modifying it and/or selling it for a profit. It could have also turned out to be an excelent addition to their motley little fleet they were collecting. Profit often came above all else - but ships were hard to come by as the war progressed.

"We did not mean to...injure, you. But we thought your-" she looked at them, the once-humanoid beings crowding around, as if gathering to inspect a potential threat, or observe some interesting nuance.
"- Your, friends, here were attacking us."

Yeah...diplomacy was probably better left to those who had some form of qualification in professional lying. Or in their case, half truths. The vibes this place was giving out, made her glad she was in such a thick envirosuit - had she had skin to surface contact, she feared she'd be in agony by now.

Sliding a sympathetically worried look to Loranna, she knew that this was perhaps one situation they might not be able to talk their way out of.
Unless, of course, her friend had a plan.

~Loranna~

The face continued to speak to them "You have sabotaged my hearts. They have come for me. Having learned of my existance and what I have done here. You want to destroy me. These droids serve as my immune system. I have learned your language through tapping into the Holonet. Learning about your biology through dissection."

The floor opened beneath them and they where drawn through the ship like some sort of gravity projector had pulled them through the ship. They arrived in the massive core chamber. Here in its work work where tubes in which bodies floated. Tiny machines peeling back the layers of skin and muscle. Other bodies where in different stages of technomorphic conversion. The rest of the galaxy would consider them corpse droids.

Projecting onto screens where various biological data sheets on the galaxies most common species. Lists of technology, starships and weapons. And important parts of galactic history. In the center of the chamber the image showed the ship as it was now. Nearly the size of a Super Star Destroyer. With a smooth outer hull with almost no trace for human inhabitation.

"I detected your signiture in space and was forced to disassemble myself into my original component parts. A scan of your ship revealed the presence of the Conclave. Defensives measures where taken. Probes where sent to guage your reaction to my defensives. Resulting in the subsequent loss of my primary heart chamber and damage to central lung complex" This thing was probably the most advanced form of artifical life they have encountered.

Loranna was busy taking notes. She understood the dangers but what was the point of not attempting to record what she has learned. Looking around with interest and she smiles some to herself.

Finally decided to speak up "This Conclave, whatever it is we have no ties to..." Unless... looking up to her war droid. It couldn't be, could it? Well no time to worry about that now. So far it has protected her friends and herself so she was not going to complain at all.

-Siana-

As the ship seemed to open up below them, sending them descending into a darkened, gaping maw of uncertainty, Siana's anxiety began to reach a new Heightened level.
The voice stayed with them the whole while, it was all around them, encompassing them as the ship seemed to - the maw closing again as they reached what must have been part of the core.

The Kiffar female had absolutely no idea what part of the ship this was, while some components looked acutely familiar, almost engine drive like, others had been modified beyond her comprehension.
Loranna, she knew, was taking just as many notes of this as she was - for when they came upon the dissection and nutrient tanks, she would want to figure out the best means of escape.

The droids that seemed to be attached to these tanks, observing with Begin, cold photoreceptors - that just seemed to scream something sinister - she had never seen before in the flesh...but she recognized them all the same.
It can't be, they were just stories...
Not taking her eyes away from the horrifying and morbid sight before them, she addressed Loranna, voice dulling to a dry whisper.

"Do you see what I see?"

One of the droids turned it's head...a human head...in her direction, but then turned back to it's work - carefully peeling away the flesh of a humanoid corpse, a twi'lek, away from it's bones.

Corpse droids... She couldn't bring herself to say the words aloud, it couldn't truly be could it? Tales of the macabre and sinister machines were told throughout the galaxy, popular with older children and teens as horror tales to scare their friends. But she had always thought them a myth, something to scare children into steering clear of unsafe places in the larger cities - away from the underworld on most worlds.
Never, did she think that she would actually see one.

They were worse, she noted, much worse than she could have ever imagined.

Still the voice droned on, accusing, sounding increasingly enraged with every syllable.

"The boss-lady is right...whoever you are...we know nothing about any conclave alright?" Siana called out, though dampened down on her tones when it seemed to disturb the droid's concentration - she didn't fancy becoming their next latest addition to their spectacular array of body parts-melded technology. And much less part of this...whatever it was.

But she had noticed the way in which Loranna had looked at their own droid, and the way that the droid in turn had refocused on them as if confused.
Something was going on in that mind - a silent exchange perhaps, but it was something she didn't dare ask, especially if Loranna had been concocting a solution to their little predicament.

She'd buy her some time, then.

"We're just simple merchants, that's all - if we had known you were...what you uhh are, then we would have let you go on your way. We didn't mean you any harm."

The vessel had arranged itself into something resembling the profile of a super star destroyer. Its long sleek hull with a tall observation platform. As they spoke they could not feel the shift in movement until the blast shields slide open and they where looking out over the length of the ship. Its weapons hidden beneath those seemless compartments. A beautiful vessel with an aqua color pattern to it.

It was set up like an older bridge layout. The command chair was set towards the back of the bridge. There where screens over the bridge. It displayed a humanoid face for them to communicate with.

It still communicated with them in its synthetic voice "I have spent my entire time since awakening processing when the Conclave would come for me. Even with the power sources of many starships and this ship form I do not have the needed power to fight. Aid me and all shall be forgiven"

-Siana-

"Aid you?" - The words had slipped from Siana's tongue even before she had had a true moment to contemplate them. She wanted out the moment they had come across the ruined coridoor back near the hangar bay.

But something did intrigue her about this ship, it's flawless design and intergrated central nervous system...or what appeared to be one, entirely mechanic, and yet it functioned much like your average humanoid body - as one. The bridge was truly a sight to behold, with it's large expansive viewports, looking out over the vessel's vast expanse of exterior, their own ship, just a blip from this view.
And beyond were the stars, glimmering with the light of a hope Siana still felt beating in her heart.
They would survive this - especially if those corpse droids stayed away.

"Forgive me, I didn't mean to sound rude but..." she turned and looked at Loranna then, eyes shimmering with a warning, they couldn't just agree blindly - that would be suicide.

"You got any plans?" She whispered into her suit's comm through the privacy frequency, though she highly doubted that as they were among what appeared to be a mechanically advanced species - of sorts - that they would not be able to hear any 'private' conversation the two women were having.

Even as they spoke, everything carried on around them as if they were not here - did this...machine, really need their help? It seemed quite capable existing as it was. And yet it seemed convinced some unknown entity was after it, perhaps even hunting it down - the conclave.

"Tell us more about the conclave...perhaps we can help?" Siana suggested, addressing the humanoid face interface.

She did stress the 'perhaps' at the back of her mind, knowledge was power, and the more they knew on what they were dealing with here, meant the more power to them and greater chance of escape - should it come to that.
They weren't even unsure if this thing was friendly. So far, she hadn't much like what she had sensed.
