If Halel was unnerved by Elan, he did not show it. He merely flexed off the tension by snapping his joints. "Ai, who goes there?" he said, pointing at the one Elan had noticed. It was loud enough to call the attention of a pair of sentries, but they were not the ones Vergere had noticed. "Wouldn't you like to tell me your name?"

"Wouldn't you like to tell me your name?" Zhentl Set's eyes opened as he looked toward the two sentries and then away with narrowed eyes.
"Nevermind that!" he spoke as he approached them "There was a shamed one here that I had followed here and now he has escaped. Were you not doing your tasks?!" he knew he risked much but would these warriors risk having their superiors told at their task failed. Who would they believe after all a priest of Yun-Yamka or a low class guard?

"If there was one, we would have captured him." the first warrior said, unconvinced. This one grabbed for Zhentl Set's arms, hoping to see the marks of shamed one.
"You still haven't answered my question. What is your name?" Halel continued on a brighter note. He stood his ground but remained utterly devoid of seriousness.

The slight confrontational note to the prior conversation had certainly piqued Elan's interest. She placed a slender hand on her familiar's shoulder as she motioned for her to pay attention also...though it was not as if she was not regardless.
He was a perculiarly nervous one, this priest. It seemed that the warriors too had noted this, and were now checking him over as if to search for marks that might indicate his shame. They found none of course - Elan had suspected they would not. She resisted the urge to allow herself another wry smile.
Halel seemed intent on asking their question too, a point that she felt like stressing also. "Yes, " she added, as slight breathy tone to her voice as she looked him over with a quick glance - as if to check for his domain markings. " Do tell."

Being manhandled by this warrior gave Zhentel more than enough reason to be angry. "My name.." he spoke as he lifted his foot up quickly onto the warrior's armor and shoved him away "..is Zhentel Set! If you doubt me take me to my father and then HE shall report this to your superior." He knew these warriors would no that name at least. His father was the high priest of Yun-Yamka upon this worldship only answerable to Jakan himself. Although Zhen was not his father being related to him was enough of a reason for most not to challenge him.
"Of course if you'd rather solve this right now..I'm more than willing to show you what a coufee can do..."

Elan knew that domain name, though his domain markings were not on display due to a carefully woven headcloth, she noticed. Hand ghosting over the shoulder of her interested familiar, she took a few steps closer to the one who had identified himself as Zhentel Set.
"He speaks the truth" She voiced to the warriors, fixing the taller one with a most perculiar glare. No warrior would dare interceed where they thought they may have to deal with the priest caste, not unless under order to remove someone such as a heretic.
She made her way across the seemingly polished surface of the floor and motioned as if to 'shoo' the warriors away from the object of their attention. Such actions were risky - warriors were a tad unpredictable, but Elan trusted that they would stay their hand, else face the equally unpredictable nature of her fathers orders against them. "Let him be"

Vergere perked up her ears, and said not a word. She was watching from a great distance, although she was but a few feet away. She was joined by the two warriors, although their expressions were far from joyful. Why should this brat be the offspring of the high priest? The children of the elite tended to be slackoffs, save for a few warriors, like Khalee Lah.
"In that case, we have to invite you over for a drink, eh?" Halel prodded. He wasn't very impressed; the children of the priests tended to be a dowdy bunch. Elan was above them in terms of physical presence, but she had yet to demonstrate exemplary traits to match her status.
The two warriors smiled at Zhentel, motioning for the interloper to join the mob of eccentrically dressed priests. Success: they managed to drag him all the way through the temple threshold, along with a disgruntled Elan, who was hoisted over the heads of several retainers.
