Just as expected she rose without his help.
Bos taan Jeedai?
He could only guess at what she was saying but again form her tone he imagined she was asking what they would do next. She wouldnt have liked his answer even if she had been able to understand him. Droids were the most offensive things imaginable to the yuuzhan vong.
Well, she'll just have to deal with that.
"Yaga?"
"I have an idea that may help us communicate." He motioned back and forth to her and himself, tapping his ear in the hope that she'd get the general idea. Drevin strode over to the communications hub, glancing behind him to find kaalyanii roaming around the apartment curiously poking at things.
Drevin put in a call directly to V3, the droid was on board the Kath Hound overseeing the repairs. It wasnt that Drevin didnt trust Shug Ninx's mechanics to do a good job, he just didnt trust them not to try and steal anything.
V3 whittled a response immediately. "I need you at the apartment."
Another series of beeps came through over the speaker, V3 was on his way. Drevin stepped back from the console and turned to face Kaalyanii, seeing the droid was probably going to get her quite excited. And not in a good way.

((OOC: argggh it just deleted my post, so this is all retyped, sorry if it posts twice D: ))
The Jeedai was now making gestures back and forth, then touching his ear slightly as if to motion he could...hear her? No..he would be able to understand her? Where was he going to find a tizowyrm around here? Kaalyanii didn't know it, but things were about to get a little more interesting than she counted on.
Drevin was now using some form of abomination, perhaps a comunicator of some kind, to speak to someone else. Or something. Kaalyanii resumed her exploration of the apartment and it's contents, becoming bold enough to reach out toward things, but not actually touch them just yet. After all, that was how people lost limbs.
In particular, she found much amusement in the adjoining room where there was a refresher station. A quick wave of her hand infront of the sensing abomination and water would rain down from the grate above. Another wave, and it would cease. Kaalyanii found it amusing that infidels would have something similar to what they had on worldships...no, what the true caste had access to. This was a mockery of a steam cell of course, but amusing as it was offensive at the very least. After her second unceremonious soaking, she decided to leave that well enough alone.
Turning, she came to regard her reflection in the mirrored surface of a singular part of the wall. It had been so long since she'd last had a proper good look at herself, the revulsion remained. From here, her implants and scars looked worse than ever. Staring back at her, the unmistakable face of a shamed one. With a brief growl of anger, perhaps anguish, she turned from that sight as quickly as she had been drawn to it, returning to the main room to check on the Jeedai.

Drevin stifled a laugh as he heard the refresher activate, Kaalyanii would probably be soaked by now. She emerged from the shower with her living garments dripping with water. She looked a lot less jovial than he felt but he still couldnt resist.
"Y'know it works better if you take your clothes off first."
He gestured to her dripping robe and then to the refresher. Drevin smiled slightly even though he was the only one who'd heard the joke. He could have done with a session in the refresher himself after crawling through all of the waste, but it could wait for now.
The door swished open and V3 rolled in. The apartment was only a block away from the repair dock, he'd made sure that he was close enough to the Kath Hound to be able to leave within a moments notice.

"Y'know it works better if you take your clothes off first."
Unamused, she supposed that was some kind of infidel humour the moment he had gestured at her and had been trying to hide his smile or stifle a laugh. The robeskin would no doubt benefit from a watering anyway, there were few nutrients in the air it could feed off, and it's host was greatly under nourished anyway. Wringing out the excess all over the floor, Kaalyanii glanced back up when the sound of the door swooshing open caught her attention.
And in rolled an abomination...
"Ukla-na vissa crai!"
It had barely made it over the threshold before the shamed one was uttering strings of curses it's way, all of them merging into one huge defiant speech that the Jeedai would not understand, but the gods would...and that was all that mattered right now. She wasn't going to back up this time, instead holding her ground...she'd dealt with one of these already, she could do it again. Almost with a look of hurt in her eyes she glared at the Jeedai, who stood doing nothing...but of course he did, he was an infidel, this was just another normal day for his kind.
"Yadag dakl tensai ta , ignot Tiu Jeedai?! - why do you continuously insult me Jedi?!" She exclaimed bitterly, her gaze snapped back round to the stubby little droid, now regarding her with grotesque photoreceptors. "mon-mawl rrish hu camasami! Jeedai, Tur abomination, qe hu camasa!! - Leave me alone! Jedi, the abomination, send it away!"
All the emphatic hand gestures in the world didn't need explaining now surely? He knew full well what he was doing...and that made a part of her- the part that remembered the old days - seethe with outrage. But the other part of her, the part that simpered and cowered like some pathetic brenzlit, was telling her, if she destroyed this one, the Jeedai would not be so willing to help. Ugh...the Jeedai, help...how had she ever thought that would be a good idea?
Once more she turned toward the offensive mechanized being with a disdainful hate that had been ingrained in her personality since birth. If she could not destroy it, she would do the next best thing...it offended her eyes. " Guvvuk! - move!" She took a threatening step toward the diminutive droid, drawing herself up to her full height, but it didn't budge an inch back the way it had come. No, instead it sought to make a fool out of her and edged forward slight enough, to make Kaalyanii almost leap backwards.
" kane a bar! - dung of a meat maggot!" she managed as small compensation for the threat she would never follow up. Good for the droid then, that it could not show smugness.
Every last scrap of dignity gone, the shamed one took in a deep breath of the foul smelling air - that would surely taint her too- and tried to compose herself. Outrage it seemed, was not going to be so easy to get rid of, so when she looked to Drevin, there was still an undeniable look of fury on her face, an edge to her voice. "Jeedai, Belek hu - Jedi, command it."

a small postlight ship lands in the docking bay in what used to be the refugee district. out of the tiny ship comes what looks to be a walking bird with arms instead of wings. he wears robes that look like the robes a master would wear, though in actuality they were made by heero.
heero travels through the district, his crossweaved poisoned blade tapping his thigh as he moves towards the cantina. he comes through the airlocked door and looks around, his beady black eyes taking everything in, the force showing him the totality of the other patrons.
as he moves to the bar, he passes a large table with a few loud patrons, taking a small pile of credits without them knowing. he sets a couple of the credits on the bar.
"tarisian ale, please. leave the pitcher." the bartender nods, getting the specified drink and leaving the pitcher for him to refill his own cup after it's emptied.

-Posting as Ta'ak-
Lumbering back into the cantina, a small group of thugs in tow, Ta'ak gave a woeful glare to the zabrak behind the bar. Lekku twitching irrtably, he gave the rylothian form of a shrug in answer to her raised brow gesture. When she nodded to someone sitting at the bar, his curiosity piqued immediately when he saw what was sitting there.
What appeared to be some kind of avianoid being, sipped idly at his ale, pitcher close by. For one so diminuitive, Ta'ak would have usually thought he should be taking it easy. Not this time...he'd asked Ven to order that particular variety, in such a specific way that he'd know him on arrival. But this wasn't Ven....far from him. What species this creature was, he had no idea. Best get a better look.
"Little late t'be knocking em back that strong ain't ya?" He queried somewhat rudely as he stepped up. There were security measures to deal with his sort....or anyone who made too much trouble. When he was certain he had the avian's attention, he cut straight to the quick. "I'll lay it out straight....Ven send ya? I told him I don't deal with associates."

Drevin stood back and watched as the room erupted into chaos, Kaalyanii was shouting at the top of her voice. Every now and then he would pick up the word 'jedi' but if he didnt understand her before, he certainly couldnt understand this racket. V3 was completely unperplexed by it all, when she approached him, the droid simply mimicked her movements before asking Drevin what all the fuss was about.
Drevin waited until she stopped.
"Jeedai, Belek hu" She looked utterly furious as she turned to face him. It was no more than he'd expected but it still unnerved him how obsessed the yuuzhan vong were with their beliefs.
"Right. Now you've got that out of your system maybe we can move on..."
He signaled for V3 to go to him. "I want you to search the language database and see if you can find any downloadable translations for the yuuzhan vong language." The droid set to work immediately tootling happily to himself. It was useless trying to explain what he had planned to Kaalyanii, she would see for herself if this worked.

Kaalyanii was less than impressed when the little droid remained in the room. Worse still, the Jeedai was coversing with it! Perhaps he would do as she had asked, command it to leave? This didn't look likely as the droid pootled about doing some form of designated task. The shamed one kept her distance, if it came near, she told herself she'd give it the same treatment as the last. Those things had hidden weapons of their own - it was far from harmless!
Drevin seemed to find her outburst all too amusing, or perhaps not. His expression was almost unreadable, and his words were in no deceipherable tone. Gesturing emphatically toward the droid to leave, she fixed the Jeedai with a stare that spoke volumes.
"etua? - well?"
This was hopeless. It had to be here for a reason, perhaps that was what the Jeedai had meant by finding a tizowrym of his own? She wasn't putting anything that abomination had to offer anywhere near her person! He could forget that and then some. And if the Jeedai did? That was his disgusting choice to make.

"don't know who ven is.. a smuggler for you, i'd imagine, though, from your tone." heero set down his goblet and turned to the speaker, his off hand holding his poisoned blade a fre inches free of the scabbard.
"i'm not going to have any trouble am i? i just got back from a run and i'd like to enjoy myself before someone comes to give me another charter." he picked up his ale again and downed what was left in the goblet, refilling it promptly and doing it again.
"name's heero, what can i do for you?" the corners of his beak came up when he sensed the surprise in ta'ak's energy.
he cocked his avian head and squawks quietly, "you have a staring problem? never seen a fosh before?"

"don't know who ven is.. a smuggler for you, i'd imagine, though, from your tone."
Ta'ak was about to sneer out a response when his eyes dropped at the slight glint of poisoned blade. He'd come to expect it in these establishments, especially his own. Fact was, that this was a side line, there were few credits to be had in a dive like this unless people took the initiative to offer all kinds of weird services.
"If Ven didn't send ya, then who - " he was cut off again by the strangely musical sounding voice of the small alien before him.
"name's heero, what can i do for you?" Ta'ak could think of a few things he could do, like telling him what the hell he was for a start. Would the new republic pay as high for something equally as odd looking as the one he'd found? No, probably not - this wasn't the enemy....but he sure looked like something they had thought up.
"you have a staring problem? never seen a fosh before?"
Ta'ak's eyes narrowed perceptively at the sudden words, it was almost as if he'd read his thoughts.
"You have a mind readin' problem?" He asked in the same gruff tone he'd used before, but while he kept a straight face, he was trying to guage the reaction of the peculiar being with the strangest looking plumage he'd ever seen on an avian species. The reaction he expected did not come...
"I'm just havin' you on, truth is I was lookin' for a smuggler as luck would have it...my regular's a no show. " The twi'lek had changed his tune, perhaps his luck would change yet.
"I'd need the right kind though, y'know, no questions asked, keep all information to y'self? There'd be good credits in it for ya, i'm a man of my word." All this was assuming of course that he was indeed a smuggler, he wasn't going to give away anymore than he had to before he knew for sure. He'd had enough of being given the runaround.
There were still others out there continuing the search in his absence, he'd only come back to keep Ven occupied. Some of the others, in the hope of finding any two-bit bounty hunter who could do the tracking better than they. With a bit of luck, this would all be a done deal within a matter of hours.

"I'm just havin' you on, truth is I was lookin' for a smuggler as luck would have it...my regular's a no show. "
hearing this, heero nods, continuing to listen and feel the truth in the words.
"I'd need the right kind though, y'know, no questions asked, keep all information to y'self? There'd be good credits in it for ya, i'm a man of my word."
"no questions asked... sounds dangerous. my fee is a bit higher if the danger's high. and as for secrecy, have to double that. how big is the parcel?"
he tapped the bar and the tender brought over another glass, setting it in front of ta'ak.
"have some tarisian ale, it's quite good." he let the poisoned crossweave blade drop back into the scabbard and waited for ta'ak to respond to him.

"no questions asked... sounds dangerous. my fee is a bit higher if the danger's high. and as for secrecy, have to double that. how big is the parcel?"
Oh he didn't know the half of it, but he did need to know if this...fosh was it?...knew what he was about to take on. He couldn't afford for them to get into some sort of situation half way across the galaxy amid a hyperspace jump.
"I thought we agreed no questions?" He conceeded soon after, of course the fosh would need to make provisions, " Live cargo, will need to be secured - " How did he explain this next part? Lekku twitching again irritably, every twi'lek within 10 meters would notice his agitated state.
"-There lies the problem...we are havin' some trouble relocating the cargo...Jedi trouble I suspect, you sure you're up to the task?" He'd seen the one wielding the lightsaber take off after his captive, but weather he was in it for himself, or if he'd actually taken it upon himself to hide her here on Nar Shadaa...he couldn't be certain. "Wouldn't know anythin about that would ya?" It was a long shot, but worth a try.

"Wouldn't know anythin about that would ya?"
heero cocked his head to the side and lifted the twi'lek into the air. "the jedi don't scare me." he let him down gently shortly after he lifted him up, straightening his head up.
"i don't care what the package is, i just need to know whether it will fit on my ship. my ship is a post-light fighter cruiser with hyperspace capabilities, nubian design. if the cargo is missing, i need to find it, which is going to be two trip fees. the fee to get the cargo and the fee to deliver it. any questions? any feedback on where i can find this cargo?"
heero had thought of almost everything in a matter of seconds as he calculated how much he would charge. he also thought to let the twilek give the first price so that heero could see what it was worth to him.

V3 let out a series of positive bleeps as his disk shaped head rotated to regard Drevin. He'd successfully downloaded the file, the Dark Jedi smiled. "Good work V3. I want you to translate what I say next into Yuuzhan Vong..." He had images of this going terribly wrong with V3 translating a completely different thing to what he was saying, but it was still worth a shot.
"etua?"
The shamed one was getting impatient and more than a little irritated at the droids presence. Then lets put her out of her misery... Drevin gestured to V3. "My droid now has the capability of translating your language..." He paused briefly before continuing. "I know you wont like the method but its the only way we can communicate."
I hope.
V3 repeated what he hoped were his words in the guttural language of the yuuzhan vong. It didnt sound that different from the way kaalyanii spoke, but it was eery hearing it coming from V3's audio speaker. The droid sounded possessed.
Drevin waited for her response, subconsciously bracing himself for another outburst.

"My droid now has the capability of translating your language..."
The hideous abomination had just said that, hadn't it? She fixed her steely gaze on the stubby little thing, it's words made the most sense she'd heard in the past week! How ironic she should hear them from one of these infidel machines.
"I know you wont like the method but its the only way we can communicate." He wasn't completely ignorant then, he too recognized the difficult situation they were in. Questions though, she had so many of them they all boiled to the surface, most of them dictating to why he'd chosen an abomination to do this task, why couldn't the thing just tell him how to speak like that? Did Jeedai not have a way to learn things fast?
"Rema tang tiz doa abomination sanh? Pra etua q'aah tchurrokk tiu eia hu!- Why must you bring this abomination here? You know well of my hatred for them, I can see that! Can you not learn from it how to speak this way?" She spoke in her own tongue, but the droid was quick to translate her words...clever, for an abomination. But also deceptive too no doubt.
Warily, she took a step forward, the little droid did not move this time, no mocking of her movement, but it did swivel a photoreceptor in her direction - it too was wary then - and that gave her cause to shiver with either fear or anger, Kaalyanii could not be certain.
"Rema dag eensta tiu qe Drehviin? - why have you brought me here Drevin?" She asked after a long moment of silence, during which she was certain he was using it to indicate the droid stayed. Much to her annoyance, and her words carried a barely perceptible edge to them. She couldn't put too much effort into it, who would pay attention after all? " Tchilat tiz ith-har tiu da eia sahn? - will you return me to the others?" What the shamed one had meant by the others could have been taken two ways, and she meant it on both counts. Kaalyanii needed to know where she stood - and right now that was on shaky ground. If he meant to hand her back to the twi'lek...she'd be forced to attempt to kill him. If he meant to return her to the worldship she'd come from, he'd probably die in the process too.
She shifted nervously on her feet, looking around her again as if the walls would suddenly close in on her. Such linear design unnerved her even more.
