Age: approximately 70 standard years
Height: 6'6'' (198 cm)
Affiliation: Yuuzhan Vong, Domain Val, Dal Shaper Consortium
Appearance: Ufanwe is tall, regal, her appearance deliberately altered to resemble an artist's depiction of the shaper goddess Yun-Ne'shel. Both her hands have been replaced with iridescent, piscine ones with sharp implants. A telepathic headdress has been grafted into her skull to communicate with war coordinators in her vicinity. She is not unlike many members of her domain; very little of her hair remains, obscured by her headdress. Her eyes are green-yellow, skin lavender.
History: Ufanwe was a talented graduate from Murkhrana Warrior Academy, top in her class for cunning and ability in combat. She was posted as a scout to the star systems around Janguine, believed to be home to an ancient Yuuzhan Vong settlement. During this time, she became acquainted with the culture of domain Lenuur, which unlike domain Val displayed a greater degree of gender dimorphism and still practiced live birth as opposed to the artificial wombs created by allied shapers.
The years passed, and Ufanwe became the favourite of the shapers of Domain Dal. Her first and only "natural" offspring, Crocus Lenuur, was soon escalated to full-fledge warrior and participated in campaigns at her side. Ufanwe comissioned a daughter, using a subcommander of domain Dresh as the other genetic donor.
Ufanwe was promoted to the rank of commander. Rumours began to surface that she was a pawn of the very circle of "friends" who had granted her high rank. Act after act of subtle defiance against other Yuuzhan vong warriors later, she became notorious at deflecting accusations of heresy by pointing out the flaws of others.
During the initial stages of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, Ufanwe was involved in planning the settlement of a remote planet in the Unknown Regions, a possible new homeworld for domain Val and the citizens of Baanu Odana.
Strengths: Her appearance has a very definite social gravity when she mingles with other Yuuzhan Vong, especially in Murkhrana territory, where Yun-Ne'shel is revered by Val warriors as the link between their hypothetical "patron race" and the Yuuzhan Vong. As a figurehead, she is advantageous to their morale.
Ufanwe, unlike many more conservative warriors, is fascinated by the infidels and their planets, making her more "forgiving" where fanatics would not be. Her battle tactics are evident of this attitude.
Weakneses: As a result of her link with the Yammosk, Ufanwe is unable to remember the names of others without constant reminder, not even offspring other than Crocus. She sees groups, not individuals. She is highly paranoid around other warriors, and goes at great lengths not to be unattended (which often results in accusations of cowardice). The conditions onboard the battle ship Sacrum are damp, causing her to have an unhealthy rasp to voice reminscient of a human cold (the shapers of domain Dal are under suspicion for manipulating her bodily state to their advantange). She has many enemies and is not as talented a commander as many would like to think, displaying certain qualities befitting of an intendant. Because of the above mentioned fascination with infidels, she is often the target of accusations of heresy.
