Low thunder rumbled through the trees of the forest. Threatening a storm soon to come. It had been two days since he had set foot out of the ewok home of Bright Tree village. He was getting closer that much he could sense. What he could not sense were the scouts that were reported missing from Salfur's. With all that was going on in the galaxy right now he knew his request to come here must have seemed strange to Luke and the others.
He had received a vision of darkness from this world..One that seemed to recently grow in power..He wondered if this storm truly was natural or sent as a means to dissuade him. From what the chief ewok Warrick had told him of this exiled shaman it very well could have been.
Pulling the hood of his black robe up over his head he meditated silently as he passed through the trees. Meditated on the war, the Jedi, and the Yuuzhan Vong invaders..Their coming seemed to send many world's out of balance. Perhaps Endor was just feeling the brunt of it. They were like a nightmare. Like an army of terentanks. One was bad enough. They were all bad enough..but that was why he and the rest of the galaxy had to stand up to them..He'd be damned if they were allowed to destroy another world.
You're already damned
He sneered faintly and shut his eyes as the first drops of rain came and glad for it. It shut out the voice from his mind. The squawk of a bird brought his attention up toward a tree. He felt something strange from that bird as if flew away..It felt like..

Atto sat up quickly, a little too quickly, to tell the truth. His head spun and he tasted the sour gall that came before a bout of vomiting. He flooded his mind with the force, telling himself that he would NOT be sick.
"What happened..where is master Nootkul? How did I get down here?"
The y-eskii-ill boy sat amidst the lush ferns looking up at the tree lined ravine that he had obviously fallen down sometime in the recent past. He stroked his short gray beard thoughtfully, then gently caressed the back of his furry head, feeling the sore spot immediatly. "Yeh! That's going to leave a lump for sure.'
Atto stood slowly, clomping one squarish hoof down to cement his position. The ewoks. Yes the ewoks. Atto had accompanied his master to the sanctuary moon of Endor to question the ewoks about strange happenings in their beloved forest. The trouble was, Atto's master was nowhere to be seen and the boy couldn't remember his former position. Closing his eyes he listened to Endor, her living skin of flora and fauna, breathing... speaking... to him.
He started out for the ewok village, casting a wary glance around the trees for young condor dragons and temptors. The latter looked innocent enough, but hidden within their hollow tree holes was a nasty bite waiting to happen!

His attention was brought to a new presence..one that had just made itself known to him. His head turned to look back over his shoulder and he closed his eyes to focus..It was a calm serene feeling but still slightly wild. A jedi..A padawan back in the direction of the ewok village. Did Luke or one of the others send someone after him? It would be just like them. Showing up when he asked them not too. He tried to focus on the presence to determine who it could be..Perhaps it was one he had trained. The raven black feathered bird squawked as another rumble of thunder came. Threating more the situation at hand.
Eyes opening as he looked back up to the bird as it flew away..Something told him he should follow it. Above that he needed to find some shelter from the storm.

The birds cries woke up the Dulok shaman, Umwak, from his rest under a large Soul Tree. He streched and gave out a slight yawn. He looked over to the screaming bird with a hungry look. "You'll be a fine snack for me." Umwak said to himself. Suddenly a bolt of lighting struck the ground, near the mountians. Umwak knew that now it wasn't the time for snack, for he felt that he was not alone. His red eyes looked over and behind frim where he was and there he saw a strange figure, dressed in black. "What is this strange creature?" Umwak asked himself, but he went closer to the figure. Suddenly, a twig snaps under Umwak's foot and the figure turns to the noise of the breaking twig.

He had been so focused on the conflicting presences of this place that he barely noticed a smaller sentient. Turning his head to look at the snap of a twig. A dulok? Her certainly was a long way from his swampy home. From what both the officials at Salfur's and ewoks had told them they were not to be trusted and were more than offensive. The smell and the unkemptness of this one's fur more than seemed to back the last description up. Regardless he still might know something. Where was Threepo when you needed him...
He pulled back his hood slowly as not to scare the dulok and decided to greet him "Hello there.." he tried in basic. Who knew maybe it would understand..

This way of hello frighten Umwak, making his fur puff up on his back. Fur puffed up and teeth being bared, Luke backed away from the Dulok. Suddenly more thunder was rumbling and it began to rain, much harder from before. Umwak lowerd his ears with fear and ran back into the forest, trying to hide from the strange person. Luke chased after the Dulok into the forest, hopefully trying to find out what he was hiding. Umwak still ran and suddenly slipped as the earth began to soften. "Please don't hurt me!" Umwak begged as the figure came closer towards him.

(No Luke here on Endor Umwa. If you want to rp as him better talk to Blue also please be careful about taking control of other people's characters in your posts. Try to keep only your character's actions and speech in the post and other npc's. Thank you =)
The dulok didn't get far away before he tripped up on the softening by the rain ground. Ashen listened to his words and felt their meaning through the force. "I'm not going to hurt you.." he spoke softly. The rain started again. Showing no mercy in it's fall. He took the cloak and hood of his robes off and dropped them down over the Dulok. "Here.." His attention returned in the direction the storm had been coming through. Concentrating his mind past the storm, past the rain, and past the thunder to the dark presence he felt through it..There was no mistaking it. The darkside was at work here. He started away from the dulok and toward the oncoming storm. Arm up over his forehead to guard his eyes from the rain as he continued on toward the evil presence.

Umwak understood what he said and got up from the ground. "Thank you." he said, but Umwak knew something was troubling him. Umwak shook off a bit of rain off his fur and scratched at the strange looking collar around his neck. Frustrated and wet, all Umwak thought of was why this strange figure was following him, but he too felt something evil in the air. His red eyes looked over the forest trees and again he asked, "Who are you and why do you come here to our home?"

"Who are you and why do you come here to our home?"
He heard the Dulok say. Stopping in his steps to turn back around and look at him. "My name is Ashen Wraith and I'm a Jedi." He always had trouble playing diplomat. It certainly wasn't his forte but as a jedi master he had that responsibility. "I was not aware I was intruding on Dulok territory. I was told your homes were in the swamps. As for why I'm here I'm searching for someone. Many someones. More offworlders like me." He did not know if this dulok knew anything about the scouts from Salfur's but he already had a feeling what became of them.

Umwak understood the basic langue well and he knew how to speak it, but in this case he didn't want the jedi to know. He walked towards the jedi and bowed deeply and introduced himself to him. "I'm Umwak the Dulok shaman." he introduced himself in basic. "I do not know who these Slafurs are but I can help you to the Bright Tree Village of our Ewok cousins." he offered.

The earlier sprinkling of rain was now coming down as a torrent of huge angry drops. Atto was slightly concerned by the storm's ferocity. He heard the cracking peal of thunder that followed a lightning bolt's eerie blue -green branching across the somber sky.
Atto's hair coat bristled with static from the ionized air.
A strange storm indeed.
The padawan surged forward at a fast clip, trying to ignore the cold lashings of water that assaulted his face. He then stopped and listened, not with his ears, but with the force. Someone powerful was there. Someone adept. Another jedi? He didn't feel that this was his master. No, this was someone else. He told himself to be mindful,as there were prevalent dark forces in the galaxy to be wary of.
As the y-eskii-ill grew closer he could almost see the faint shimmering outline in his minds eye of who was out there. There was another too, a native of this world. Not ewok, not yuzzum, there ...a dulok! And with him .............

Umwak then felt a strange presence come up his spine, a gut feeling telling him that this jedi was not the only one here. He looked around supisiously and sniffed the air on high alert. Umwak threw off the jedi's cloak and began to climb up a nearby tree. Suddenly the collar around Umwak's nech beeped and gave him a slight shock, sending him to the ground once more. But inside Umwak felt that somebody else was here in the forest.

Trees, trees and more trees, the forest seemed to go on forever, and while it yielded more life than Nia Shul had possibly seen in her lifetime, still the Infidels managed to surprise her with their audacity to build over everything that had been given to them. Even in places as vast and abundant in nature as this, she had already noticed a few small 'villages' and outposts.
Relatively out of the way as endor was, it was an untapped resource and held great opportunity for being adapted to her peoples needs. The shapers certainly would find this world most useful, she mused to herself.
Her last report had been over a cycle ago and Nia Shul had hoped that it would have signified her retrieval from this place, she had no such luck. While she was grateful she had the chance to serve in such a worthy task, she like many of her kind, was ambitious, eager for the chance to move onto greater things. Perhaps she was too keen? Had it shown? And if so, was that really such a bad thing?
She continued to move through the forest, adorned with a standard Ooglith Masquer, she would have appeared to the natives as being of Human origin. While many in these parts were not human their-selves, they would be more accustomed to seeing one. And if she were to run into another bunch of troublesome smugglers....
Thunder rumbled overhead, the darkening sky opening up above her and pouring down rain onto the tree tops. She was relatively sheltered here, but in truth did not mind. It was a rare experience for someone who had spent the best part of their life aboard a worldship crossing the void to this galaxy. No, this signified the beginning of a new start, a glorious one at that.

Umwak woke up with sharp pain on his head and back, not knowing what had just happened. Again that gut feeling came, he knew that there were more people here. Frighten, he got off the wet ground and began to limp away into the forest, towards the Ewok village. "Ow, my back." he whined. Suddenly a loud rumble of thunder came clear across the sky, Umwak knew that this was not going to be a good time to stick around for the storm.

So this dulok could understand and speak basic. That was unusual. Umwak's next offer came as a bit unbelieveable to his ears. Duloks and Ewoks were enemies from all accounts he had heard. "I just came from there. I do not need to return just yet." His mind was brought to the attention of the approaching jedi presence he had felt earlier. Sure enough it was one. A padawan at least and a y-eskii-ill! He only knew of one of those and his eyes confirmed it once he was closer.
"Atto!" he called but then turning his attention back towars Umwak as he ran away "Wait!" he called after as he watched him climb up a tree in fear. What he saw around the Dulok's neck gave him an explanation as to why he could understand and speak basic..Watching him fall but it was too late to save him from the fall through the force..but he could still help what injuries he'd taken. Lifting up his cloak and hood he ignored the smell of wet fur on it. "Relax Umwak..he's a friend. Another Jedi like me..stay still." He asked as he kneeled down to place his hand over the Dulok's head..Feeling through the force the injuries he had taken and using it to heal over the wounds. Though his mind was focused on healing over the pains from Umwak's fall he still addressed the padawan y-eskii-il. "What are you doing here Atto?" he spoke as calmly as he could over the tunder storm. Though he already had a good idea of the answer. Luke must have sent Atto's master and himself after him. Typical..
