*** Posting as Drevin *** "They wish for proof?"Clearly the intendant hadnt expected that one. "You dont expect them to believe me do you? Im not one of their own after all." He felt bitter and it clearly showed but he no longer cared. "Is it not proof enough that you were implanted with a slave seed? You seem surprised infidel, why ever would that be?"Drevin ground his teeth hard and increased the pressure on the villip causing it to distort and squirm. He hated this Tin'aa Shoolb with every bone in his body and he would hunt the treacherous beast down. "Do not take me for some fool you sniveling brenzlit! I know you have found some way to remove it! If I find you have deceived me further, you will have more to concern yourself with than the mild irritation that particular seed caused.""You honestly thought that your pathetic device could control me?!" Drevin mocked the intendant, laughing into the villip. He would leave the intendant to guess at why it had failed, adding a little insult of his own to it. "Your threats and your slave seeds mean nothing to me scar head. The force is stronger than anything your shapers can devise." He wanted to push the intendant into a frenzy, he wanted him to be so angry that he would lose control. That in itself would give Drevin some measure of satisfaction. The villip portrayed the image of Attomemhuhvoo, a Y-eskii-ill padawan. He appeared to be in tremendous pain, the yuuzhan vong warriors were cruel with him. But even from this distance, Drevin could see the resilience in the young jedi. The dark jedi subconsciously called out through the force. Show them no weakness kid, the Jedi are coming for you. "I had a subaltern relay the details to me, you know this Jeedai?""I knew him yes, in another life." Drevin put on an impassive expression as though he didnt care in the slightest, even though the images bothered him greatly. The young Y-eskii-ill was probably only a young adult by now. He'd never had much interaction with Drevin at the academy but seeing him suffer was enough to make Drevins blood boil. (OOC If any of that about Atto is incorrect let me know and ill edit the post )

"Your threats and your slave seeds mean nothing to me scar head. The force is stronger than anything your shapers can devise."
The already near-dark eyesacs beneath his dark orbs, darkened to a deep bluish shade previously unseen. Fool, who did he think he was? His kind didn't stand a chance and still he showed defiance in the face of overwhelming odds? Tln'aa Shoolb made a point to remember to make certain that this one died with the rest when they arrived. He'd have to devise another plan of course, but the Jeedai arriving on Endor would give him the extra time he needed to make good of the benefits and time that would be granted to him.
"It was perhaps foolish for me to credit you with as much sense as I did. And that was not much at all." He ground out through clenched teeth, eyes narrowing to dark, razor blade thin slits.
The intendant opted for not giving voice to each and every insult or threat that materialized into his anger-stricken mind. Let the Jeedai think he had gotten one over on him, all the better for seeing the look in his eyes when he failed abysmally to return from this mission. "You have your proof ignorant one, take it and leave."
In one sweeping motion of his gnarled hand, Tln'aa Shoolb caused the villip to return to it's inactive state once more. As soon as he was certain he was alone, he smashed his gashed hand back down upon the armrest of his seating place again, driving the coral shards deeper, until they hit bone and sinew. Oh yes, he would make that particular Jeedai pay...he was sure of it. The wretch would die as an unworthy one, brought back into his pain a thousand times over before he finally cracked and splintered into death. Tln'aa Shoolb smirked ever so slightly, feeling a tad calmer than he had before.
Now came the task of contacting the commander who was supposedly overseeing the taking of Endor...

*** Posting as Drevin and Kyle ***
It was late at night but Drevin didnt want to waste any more time. The sooner he delivered his proof to the jedi, the sooner he could leave to begin repairs on his ship. He had no idea how long it would take him to complete the repairs but if he could just get the thing off the ground he'd be able to limp to a nearby system. Drevin had no intention of asking the jedi for help. Besides, they would be far too busy rescuing their comrades on Endor.
The Dark Jedi donned his long black cloak, pulling the hood up over his head. He slipped the villip inside his cloak and made his way down the silent corridor. After several steps he felt his tracker in the force. Drevin turned slowly and inclined his head.
"Master Katarn."
The Jedi master smiled at him, barely visible in the dark corridor. "Obviously im not as good at creeping as I thought. Still, a little late for a midnight stroll isnt Drevin?" His tone was casual but Drevin could sense the suspicion in his voice. He knew that one of them would be watching him but he hadnt expected the very man he was about to go and see.
"I was on my way to deliver this." Drevin removed the villip and tossed it to Kyle. "Your proof."
"You will only be able to view it once so you might want to gather the others first." He added.
Kyle held the device up to his eyes, examining it closely before nodding. "Well, we're gonna have a few grumpy Jedi masters on our hands but we cant afford to waste any more time." He paused before sighing deeply, "I'll go and wake them."

-Posting as Tionne Solusar-
She had been unable to find sleep this night, for a number of reasons. Each one of them centering around their guest. Kam rested peacefully beside her, but she could tell through the force that every now and then he would check on her, for whatever reason, she did not mind. Her place was here, he knew that. So did she.
A sound at the door and the approach of someone in the force startled her somewhat. Rising from her cross legged position on the edge of her bunk, she crossed the floor and allowed the door to slide open to reveal Kyle Katarn. "He's had a reply, hasn't he?" She said in a tone that was far from questioning. "We will be there as soon as we can be."
Tionne glanced back over her shoulder, Kam was waking. Perhaps he'd been a bit more aware than she had thought. "We won't be long." She assured him before ducking back into the room to retrieve what she needed, to wait for Kam also.
*** Several sleep deprived moments later, Tionne and many of the others found themselves back in the hall they had vacated the previous afternoon, all of them feeling a slight sense of deja vu.
" Let us see this, er...recording, did you say it was?" Someone from the back of the crowd was saying.

Again Drevin stood among an audience of jedi, with all eyes focused on him. It was only when Kyle Katarn stepped forward that they turned their attention to him instead. He was the one with the villip now, Drevin had instructed him on how to activate the recording.
Drevin had pushed aside his jealousy as Kam and Tionne had walked into the chamber side by side. Seeing them together now only re-enforced his decision to make haste and get off this jungle moon. The Dark Jedi thought he'd caught a slight warning stare from Kam as the jedi master looked his way but Drevin merely frowned under his dark hood. He'd kept the cowl up for more than one reason.
"Let us see this, er...recording, did you say it was?"
Drevin looked on as Kyle re-played the recording of the young padawan being tortured, watching as the sleepy faces of the jedi masters quickly turned into looks of horror and shock. He subtly glanced over at Tionne, whose face seemed to contort with worry, Drevin quickly repressed the urge to comfort her through the force, it wasnt his place.

The platinum haired master looked on, her face a picture of distress at the images conveyed via the small living creature Drevin had activated. All she could think of was leaving now and going to do something about this, there was no time to sit idle. This was not like her, she'd always had a stronger head on her shoulders...so why had this war changed so many the way it was changing her? She had seemed so steadfast in her resolution to trust in the force. But the Yuuzhan Vong were devoid of the force. This changed everything.
The Y-eskii-ill's troubled shouts died with the image and a feeling of disturbance fluttered through the force, eminating from all in the room. "We are all in agreement then? Master Katarn's plan still stands?" She gave voice to the question that was on all supporters lips, albeit shakily.
Across the way, she was certain she had seen Drevin cast a wary look in their direction, Kam's direction. Tionne resisted the urge to silence anything that her husband might have sent back. It would only make matters worse.

The masters quickly recovered, talking among themselves of how they would proceed with the plan. Kyle spoke with Tionne and Kam. "We need to decide who's going. We cant take everyone." The jedi around them were all talking of participating in the rescue mission after watching the recording. He could understand their reasons for wanting to go but sending more than four jedi would leave the academy relatively undefended.
Kyle spoke to the two jedi masters while sparing a glance to the silent shadow in the corner that was Drevin. "Perhaps it would be best if we severed contact with the yuuzhan vong agent altogether? Feeding them false information would only confirm that we're coming."
Kyle had been the one to suggest feeding them the false information in the first place but now he could see that they would be exposing themselves to unnecessary risks by doing so. The element of surprise would be lost, the vong would be expecting them. This way the vong would have no idea when or if they were coming. Nor would they have any idea of their numbers.
It would also solidify Kyles belief in Drevin if he had no objections to handing the villip over or destroying it.

If they did as Kyle suggested initially, there was always going to be a bigger risk, he had seen this now and not a moment too soon. "Severing contact with the Yuuzhan Vong makes sense in terms of the plan, but it would also make Drevin a prime target." She fought to conceal the over concern in her voice. Abysmally too.
"Either way we face risks, but this way you are correct, they will not know what to expect, or when to expect it."
The subject still remain, who would go on this mission. There were many budding adventurers among the students, but that was out of the question. They were Jedi, yes, but had little or no concept of what they would be traveling to...in some ways, neither did the elder Jedi either.
"I think we should take the bare minimum, as you also said, taking too many masters would leave the academy open to an attack from supporters of the yuuzhan vong or otherwise. Kyle, this was your plan...perhaps you should choose who would best suit the phases of said plan?" Already she could feel someone in the group asking her not to go, but woefully, she tried to ignore it.

"Severing contact with the Yuuzhan Vong makes sense in terms of the plan, but it would also make Drevin a prime target."
Kyle picked up on the concern and panic in her voice, which was slightly more than was necessary. He too was concerned for the Dark Jedi but he knew that Drevin was aware of the risks. Tionnes next words brought him back into the here and now.
...perhaps you should choose who would best suit the phases of said plan?"
Kyle would have to get used to making decisions like this, he was a Jedi Master now after all. Kyle thought to himself for a while. Endor was a dangerous place even without the presence of the yuuzhan vong, they would need strong Jedi for the task.
He'd already decided to go himself, unless the other masters objected of course. Kam was another firm favorite, being one of the strongest masters among them. But they would need a powerful Jedi to remain on yavin in case the vong attacked and Kyle couldnt think of anyone more capable than Kam.
He begrudged taking Tionne along because of her connection with her husband but her skills and her insight would be vital on this mission. Ikrit was another candidate, his unusual appearance would provide an excellent disguise. He would be able to get in close to the jedi captives without arousing too much suspicion.
"I'd like to put myself forward, Im used to these kind of extraction missions. Jan and I have been on more than I can remember." Jan was away on a mission at present, otherwise she would have been picked without hesitation. "I'd also suggest that Tionne and Ikrit come along." He looked at Kam expectantly, he knew it would be hard for the jedi master to bare but he also knew that Kam would understand his reasoning.

Tionne nodded solomnly, as a jedi it was each and every persons duty to protect. Someone would need to remain behind, she had - in all honesty - expected to be delegated this task, but Kyle had unexpectedly asked her to come along. Kam had also been requested to do so, and she found herself glancing at her husband expectantly, seeing some hesitation in his resolve.
Her watery gaze pleaded with him to make this decision based on what was right, not what his emotions told him. Hadn't he chided her to do just the very same only hours before? Indeed, it was ironic. "For those trapped on Endor." she whispered to Kam softly. "We might not get a second chance."
He had been opposed to this from the beginning, but as yet had managed quite well to keep his true feelings hidden. Now she hoped that he would see the logic in this plan, and set his personal feelings aside.

Drevin sensed Tionnes concern pique through the force and wondered what the masters had been discussing. What does it matter to you anymore Drevin.
He'd slowly moved further away from the group of jedi, moving into the deep shadows cast from the temple walls. Daylight would soon start to filter through the gaps in the ancient temple but Drevin intended to be gone by then.
The Jedi would want the villip to remain in their possession, they still had very little trust in the Dark Jedi despite all he'd told them.
The jedi were welcome to it. He had no use for it anymore.
Drevin silently turned to leave the hall.

At the back of her mind, she had sensed Drevin's retreat into the shadows. How apt then, that on the day he had decided to turn his back on the Jedi order again and turn to a more shadow-cast side of the force. It saddened her deeply and she did not try to hide it this time. Perhaps one day he would see the path he walked was a fruitless one...perhaps not.
One thing was certain, he wished to be alone, he wished to leave without further confrontation. Tionne only hoped that she would get a chance to say a proper goodbye to him. But she would not change his mind, she knew.
The others were still discussing the final details of their plan when she rejoined the heated discussion herself. "When do we depart?" she queried a little forlorn, "there really is little time to lose."

Drevin stopped short as he felt a wave of disappointment flow through the force. The source of it, Tionne. He felt a wave of guilt wash over him and was tempted to turn back. He wanted nothing more than to say good bye, she had shown him nothing but kindness, even when everyone else had doubted him. But despite it all, he couldnt afford a confrontation with the others.
Drevin continued on through the dark passageways. Part of him hoping in vain to hear her soft footsteps echo behind him. But it was a fools hope. Finally he rounded a corner and found what he was searching for.
Ever since the jedi had occupied the temple they had used the room as a storage vault. Drevin tried the hatch release to find that it was locked. Of course it was locked, his droid and his lightsaber were inside.

As everyone dispersed into their respective groups, Tionne watched them for a while or so, before silently leaving the hall in a direction of her own. The others would ready the ship they were going to use and she had to collect a few items of her own that would be useful for the mission.
That and - she told herself- she needed to return a few things to their rightful owner.
Rounding the corner of a large stone-built corridoor that was light by the dim glow of lights long outdated by any modern standards, she saw him standing there...Drevin.
"Leaving again I see." she commented softly, so as not to startle him, "It's ok, I did not come here to preach to you." she added when she noted his expression and sudden tense nature.
Stepping up to the small control pannel at the side of the door, she placed her palm over it and the door issued a positive sounding bleep, before swooshing open. The little droid contained within the confines of the room tweetled what Tionne assumed was either a binary greeting, or an insult towards those who had kept it here. " Your ship will take some repairing, you'll probably need this ones help."
The last thing she wanted here was any hostility, but would that be what she was unleashing if she allowed him to leave? It hurt to think that any one of her students could have turned to the darkside. That any one of them could use or be tempted by it's powers, but it was a test they all must face at some point. Drevin, for the best part, seemed to adhear to the majority of the code he'd been taught as a boy. It was that other percent that bothered her, and she felt bitter guilt for doing so.
"I meant what I said, if ever you need a place to return to, to resume your training...we are here."

"Leaving again I see. It's ok, I did not come here to preach to you."
Drevin looked up to find her standing in the passageway, a bright light in the darkness that surrounded them both.
"Tionne..."
Drevin sighed and lowered his head, causing his cloak to conceal his face for a moment. Now that she was here, he felt only guilt. He wished that he could make her understand that he was leaving for her sake, not his own. He wanted to reassure her but again found himself holding back.
"Your ship will take some repairing, you'll probably need this ones help."
Drevin tried to shake his feelings aside the best he could and nodded as V3 let out a series of profanities, followed eventually by a greeting. He could only hope that Tionne would be unable to understand the droid. Drevin called the lightsaber to his hand using the force and hooked it onto his belt.
"I meant what I said, if ever you need a place to return to, to resume your training...we are here."
"Thank you..." For the first time since revealing his feelings Drevin looked into her star lit eyes. He'd often dreamed of looking into those eyes, but never had the dream ended in a good bye.
"Dont think ill of me. My path lies elsewhere, but im not lost."
